A Monroe-based dentist was arrested on Aug. 20 and charged with criminal sexual contact with three of his female employees at his office, county and local authorities said.

An investigation from July 2016 through August 2018 alleges that Dr. Richard Goldberg, 47, of the Morganville section of Monmouth County, “improperly touched three of his female employees, one of which was 17 years old when the acts started,” on multiple occasions, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey and Monroe Police Chief Michael Lloyd.

According to the report, the alleged improper contact took place during normal working hours at his Monroe office on Spotswood Englishtown Road.

Goldberg was charged with three counts of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree and one count of endangering the welfare of a child in the third degree.

Goldberg is scheduled to make his initial court appearance in New Brunswick Superior Court on Sept. 13.

Authorities said the investigation is still active and ask that anyone with information to contact either Monroe Police Department detective Brian Dziomba at 732-721-0222, ext. 147 or Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office detective Mark Morris at 732-745-4194.
