A former Woodbridge man and his girlfriend who now reside in Indiana were arrested in a plot to murder the man’s ex-wife who is now a North Brunswick resident, county and local authorities said on Aug. 18.
The Indiana couple were arrested after a three-month investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, the Woodbridge Police Department and the FBI.
On Saturday at approximately 4:30 p.m., the couple met with an undercover officer in Woodbridge who was allegedly being hired to murder the former wife, according to the joint release from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Woodbridge Police Department.
Narsan Lingala, 54, formerly of Woodbridge and Sandya Reddy, 51, both currently of Noblesville, Indiana, have been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree and one count of attempted murder in the first degree.
