SOUTH BRUNSWICK – Law enforcement arrested a Trenton man hiding in South Brunswick hotel last weekend charging him with the murder of 26-year-old Jibri Chisolm, which happened earlier this month.
Chisolm was one of two men killed in Trenton on Sept. 14. Authorities found the two victims on Bond Street and they were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center.
According to an NJ.com report, Chisolm was shot in the head and the abdomen.
A Mercer County Homicide Task Force investigation led to charges against Stephan P. Green, 30, of Bond Street in Trenton, for murder and other related charges. The task force issued a warrant for Green’s arrest on Saturday.
With the help of the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, Green was found hiding in a hotel in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, according to police, where he was arrested by South Brunswick police, the Marshals and Mercer County Homicide at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Green was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, two counts of second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and second-degree certain persons not to possess a handgun. He is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center while waiting for a detention hearing.
