SOUTH BRUNSWICK – A 33-year-old North Brunswick man arrested at McDonald’s allegedly had his own concoction for a secret sauce.
Jamel Tyler was arrested after police allegedly found 94 folds of suspected heroin on him at the McDonald’s at 3955 Route 1 on Monday.
According to South Brunswick Township police, officers responded to the fast-food restaurant after a witness called in a male allegedly acting disorderly.
When Officer Jason Stonkus arrived at the eatery, he reportedly saw Tyler sitting in a booth “yelling and waving his arms around rapidly,” police said.
Physically, he was described as being “sweating profusely and breathing heavily.”
His alleged appearance resulted in police requesting the nearby Kendall Park First Aid Squad to evaluate his condition. First-responders concluded that additional medical attention was not necessary.
Tyler continued to speak with police officers, who alleged that he failed to follow commands to stay seated keep his hands in “plain view.”
Officers said during their conversation with Tyler, he “continually reached down to his shorts and waist area as he was speaking with him.”
Then he allegedly stood up “and made fists with both hands,” resulting in the officers restraining him.
After he was retrained by Officer Scott Bucca, police allegedly found the folds of possible heroin in a pocket on his shorts. An additional search allegedly found more suspected heroin folds.
Tyler was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was sent to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center awaiting his first court appearance.
